The following graph shows you what has been going on with the median sales price for homes in the East Bay Area City of Oakley. This graph combines all properties selling over the past year. The graph follows normal economic principles in that as inventory decreases we see sales price increase. In the other graph I show what has happened with the Average Price per square foot. The interesting thing here is that as Median sales price is increasing the average price per square foot is decreasing. This is a sign that more sales are of larger homes which is basically saying the people are taking advantage in the great deals to be had in this market.
