In the attached Wall Street Journal article it is reported that in two thirds of all US Metropolitan markets we saw prices for homes increase during second quarter of this year. This is right in line with what we have been seeing in the east bay for Danville Real Estate and San Ramon real estate. In fact the article highlights the south bay city of San Jose as reporting one the largest increases in prices during the second quarter. There is much speculation on the increases because the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit was still being offered. The wild card in the present market is the number of potential foreclosures in the waiting and if these can be modified to keep the homeowner in the home or allow for a short sale
