Well, this graph is a bit of a surprise for me. In direct contrast to many other Bay Area towns and cities we are seeing total home sales of single family detached homes in the East Bay town of Alamo on the rise. I have been reporting on the downward trends we are seeing in other surrounding communities like Danville and Livermore so this uptick is unusual and speaks to the overall desirability of homes in this upscale community. As you see in the graph total homes sales are almost equal to the same month last year. This is in spite of all of the recent negative economic reports and the stalemate regarding budget cuts and tax increases in congress.
